All teams Summer Cup home games must be logged at two points, via the EIHA REC WEBSITE AND THE SUMMER CUP CO-ORDINATOR. Please note that any game that is played and not logged through the official channels will have to be logged and replayed.

Each Summer Cup game that is organised , must be logged at least 2 weeks prior to each Summer Cup game.

Downloaded Team sheets must be handed to the match officials 30 minutes before face off. If any teams fail to produce their official team list, they shall be assessed a 5 minute major penalty and the game shall be played as non contact by default in accordance with E.I.H.A.REC rules.

The offending team shall also be deducted 1 summercup point!!!!.

Official EIHA games sheets must be used and completed for all matches, these are obtainable from the EIHA @ £12.00 for 50 sheets. See www.eiha.co.uk

All games must be officiated by at least 2 allocated E.I.H.A qualified officials.

If officials fail arrive for a Summer Cup game, then the following three options, in order are available. (1) Both team managers can arrange to play the match at a later date. (2) The match can be played for 4 points if teams still have to play return match. (3) In the event of the first two options being unavailable, a 5-5 tie will be awarded by the Summer Cup Committee.

All officials for all Summer Cup Games will be provided by E.I.H.A Chief Referee Mohammed Ashraff.

All Managers must ensure their team can compete in any official summercup game organized, games cannot be cancelled because no team is available to play.

Any team that may have to cancel a game due to not having a netminder may use a guest netminder from any recreational team, as long as he/she is registered on a recreational license. This needs to be confirmed via the E.I.H.A REC contacts (Please note only netminders can be used as guests).

It is the duty of all team managers to inform (The Summer Cup Co-Ordinator) of any changes that are relevant to the Summer Cup. ie.. Game Date Changes or Face Off Time Changes etc…….

Any teams that fail to arrive at Summer Cup games without notice for any reason, will forfeit that game 5-0.(20-0 during Play Offs)

Any team that cancels the same fixture twice in a row, forfeits that game 5-0.(20 - 0 during Play Offs)

Any team that walks off of the ice during a game for any reason, will forfeit that game 5-0.(20 – 0 during Play Offs)

Summer Cup games cancelled due to technical problems at arenas before games start, will mean that team managers will use the same options outlined in the event of officials failing to arrive for a Summer Cup game. (See Above)

Any technical problems that force a game to be abandoned, regardless of time elapsed will result in the score at the time of the abandonment being the result.

All games must be played 3x20 min stop clock. (However if ice time is at a premium it is permitted to play one period running clock in order to complete the game.)

Home team must provide a visible clock to record elapsed time and penalties for both teams

If scores are tied after 3 Periods each team will receive 1 point and will play for an extra point in a 5 minute 4 ON 4 sudden death overtime. If no goals are scored during the Overtime Period then the game will end in a tie.

PENALTY POINTS AND SUSPENSIONS
The Summer Cup penalty points and suspensions will be determined by a totting up system. This is as follows.

Any 2 minute penalty = 0 PENALTY POINTS
All 10 minute penalties except checking from behind / to the head = 2 PENALTY POINTS
Any checking from behind or checking to the head penalty = 3 PENALTY POINTS
Any 2+2+10 attempted butt end/attempted spearing penalty = 3 PENALTY POINTS
Any game misconduct penalty = 3 PENALTY POINTS
Any 5+game penalty = 3 PENALTY POINTS
Any match penalty = 5 PENALTY POINTS + the normal one game ban
Any Match penalty in place of the old gross misconduct: Abuse of Official,Excessive Roughness etc…… 20 PENALTY POINTS, 4game ban + any other suspension from EIHA.
HOW TOTTING UP SYSTEM WORKS
Every time a player reaches 5 penalty points he will receive a one game ban. Certain calls can result in a player receiving higher bans for instants, a match penalty will be a normal 1 game ban + 5 penalty points which means a further 1 game ban. Please note that all Penalty points will carry over into the Play Offs.

Match Penalty for kicking = 6 Game Ban
Match Penalty for headbutting = 6 Game Ban
All players penalty points will be updated as soon as i receive the gamesheets from the Summer Cup games. It is the duty of all Team Managers and Game Co-ordinators to post all gamesheets by first class post to The Summer Cup Co-ordinator ,the Monday following that weekends Summer Cup games. If gamesheets fail to arrive by Thursday of the following week the team in question will be deducted 1 Summer Cup point. As soon as a player reaches the penalty points required to get a suspension, the team manager will receive a letter , e mail or telephone call to inform him/her of that suspension. All suspended players will be suspended with immediate effect.

It is the responsibility of all team managers that all suspended players sit their suspensions.Any teams playing suspended players will result in that team being deducted two league points per suspended player played and that player being suspended for the rest of the tournament.( please note that this offence will mean a 20-0 forfeit if found guilty during the play offs)

APPEALS PROCEDURE
All appeals on suspensions must be directed to Mr Mohammed Ashraff Chief Referee.
HOW THE SUMMER CUP IS WON
2 Points for a win 1 Point for a tie 1 Extra Point for an Overtime Win 0 Points for a loss
